The LW5600-series TVs use passive 3D — like what you see in the movie theater. Lightweight glasses (4 pairs included) allow you to watch 3D comfortably on this set's 55" screen. While you don't get full 1080p detail for each eye like sets that use active 3D glasses provide, you'll see clear, bright and sharp 3D images and a wider viewing angle.

Edge-lit backlighting has quickly become the most common type of LED backlighting. The 55LW5600's "LED Plus" backlight is actually a clever hybrid design — the LEDs are spaced around the edges of the screen, but they have the ability to dim in response to the picture content, improving contrast and shadow detail.
